Dying Awake Course

This is not your average death and dying course. While many focus on the logistics of death, this work explores death as a gateway to spiritual growth and awakening.

Dying Awake is about doing the inner work while you are fully alive, so that when your final moment comes, your last breath is something sacred to honor, not something to fear. It invites you to live with deeper presence now, knowing that the frequency you embody shapes not only your life, but what you encounter beyond it.

This course is for those ready to move with grace and wisdom rather than fear and denial. It also offers powerful insight for death workers and caregivers who feel called to guide others across the threshold with compassion, presence, and a deeper spiritual understanding.

This isn’t just a course. It’s a shift in how you live, how you die, and how you walk others home.

This path is for you if…

  • This is for you if you’ve started to feel the quiet (or not-so-quiet) pull of life’s deeper questions—about death, meaning, and what lies beyond. Maybe something in you knows there is more, and you’re ready to explore it, not intellectually, but experientially. You’re curious, open, and willing to step closer to the mystery rather than turn away from it.

  • This is for you if you are already on a spiritual path and feel ready to go further. You sense that avoiding or denying death is a form of spiritual bypassing, and that true awakening requires turning toward it. You’re ready to dissolve illusion, deepen your practice, and embody your spirituality in a way that includes the full spectrum of life… and death.

  • This is for you if you are someone who walks with others through death—whether as a doctor, nurse, hospice worker, caregiver, or space holder. You feel the weight and the sacredness of this role, and you’re seeking deeper tools, language, and energetic understanding to support both those you serve and yourself. You’re ready to refine your ability to hold space, stabilize presence, and navigate the unseen with greater awareness and care.

What People Are Saying…

“Korona’s explanation of her own exploration and experiences inspired me to continue my own work on this subject and she spoke authentically and from the heart. It touched me deeply and encouraged me to continue my own journey on building a community of people who want to change the way death is dealt with. All in all it was transformative and inspiring and I’m deeply grateful that I had the privilege to attend.”

Naomi

“I really enjoyed it! When you touched on the specifics of the stages of death, and the ancient wisdom about what exactly happens in that transformation — that was especially really powerful. Those kinds of questions are what compelled me to sign up for the course. You have so much valuable insight to share. I’m delighted I got to be part of this.”

Drew

“Whether you are approaching your own death, facing the death of a loved one, or simply seeking to become more accepting of reality, Korona will challenge your ways of thinking and offer new perspectives in a compassionate, love-centered manner”

Dan

“This course was a profound and heart-centered experience that shifted the way I relate to both life and death. Korona, a death doula with deep experience in hospice and end-of-life care, spoke about death as a beautiful transition - something to prepare for consciously, not fearfully. We explored universal elements of the dying process found across religions and near-death experiences, grounding into the knowing that love is everything. I completed the course with the unshakable sense that my essence - the “I am” - will never die. I’m not afraid of death. I know that I am love, and that love is eternal.”

Meet your instructor…

Korona is both a life and death doula / coach, and ceremonial facilitator devoted to guiding individuals through profound thresholds of transformation. Her work lives at the intersection of death awareness, expanded states of consciousness, and grounded spiritual practice.

Korona has studied theology from childhood through adulthood, cultivating decades of spiritual insight and discernment. These experiences inform her work as an experienced and grounded spiritual guide.

Currently, she is on a four-year vision quest with the Lakota Nation, deepening her connection to ancestral wisdom and the rhythms of the natural world. Her spiritual path is interfaith in nature, drawing wisdom from diverse contemplative traditions while honoring the unique integrity of each. A practicing Buddhist who has taken full precepts, she plans to receive her Phowa transmission from an honored Rinpoche this year. Phowa, which translates to “transference of consciousness,” is considered one of the most direct and profound methods for preparing for death, in which consciousness is guided, directed, and ultimately liberated. Raised Christian, she also continues to cultivate a deeply personal relationship with Yeshu, whose teachings remain an integral part of her spiritual journey.

As a certified end-of-life doula through INELDA and a hospice volunteer, she specializes in companioning those who are terminally ill, actively dying, grieving, or courageously exploring questions of mortality and what may lie beyond. Her work is rooted in reverence, steadiness, and an unwavering commitment to compassionate presence.

Through private sessions, ceremonies, workshops, courses, and festival production Korona creates spaces where individuals can meet life, death, and the mystery between them with greater clarity, connection, and peace.
