Beyond the Veil Schedule
Saturday, July 25th
-
Arrive, exhale, and settle into the land. Enjoy light snacks and refreshments as you connect with fellow participants and set up your campsite if you are staying overnight.
As part of your arrival experience, you are invited to contribute to our Community Earth Mandala Altar, a collective prayer space created throughout the weekend. This sacred offering provides an opportunity to set your intentions for the journey ahead, honor your ancestors, and acknowledge those who have crossed beyond the veil.
Guests are encouraged to bring a meaningful object, photograph, or small memento representing a loved one who has passed. Together, we will weave these offerings into a living altar, creating a shared field of remembrance, gratitude, and connection that will support our time together.
-
Together, we begin our journey by gathering around the ceremonial fire to clarify our intentions, honor the land, and create a sacred container for the weekend ahead.
Guided by Taino spiritual leader Roman Guaraguaorix and supported by the heart-opening medicine of cacao, we will call upon our guides and ancestors, offer a one-word intention to the fire, participate in an ancestral meditation, and take part in a traditional ofrenda, a ceremonial offering of gratitude and reciprocity.
Rooted in Indigenous wisdom and cosmology, this ceremony serves as a threshold into the sacred, opening us to the teachings, insights, and connections that await beyond the veil.
-
What if the quality of our death is shaped by the way we choose to live?
Drawing upon ancient cosmologies, death awareness practices, spiritual coaching, and lessons gathered from the bedside of the dying, end-of-life doula Korona invites participants into an exploration of what it means to Die Awake. Together, we will examine how attachment, resistance, fear, and the illusion of control can keep us bound to lower states of consciousness, while gratitude, presence, compassion, love, forgiveness, and surrender can elevate us into our highest expression of being.
As we contemplate the mystery of mortality, we discover that preparing for death is not about focusing on the end of life, but about learning how to live more fully, more authentically, and more aligned with what matters most.
Rather than viewing death as something to fear, this workshop invites us to cultivate a way of being that honors life's impermanence so completely that when the final breath arrives, it is not met with dread, but with reverence, acceptance, and perhaps even wonder.
-
What happens when we die? While no one can answer this question with certainty, some have ventured to the threshold and returned with stories that forever transformed their understanding of life, death, and consciousness.
Shaman and energetic healer Erik Farnsworth has experienced three profound near-death experiences. Each time, he crossed beyond the veil and returned with insights into the nature of existence itself.
In this intimate storytelling session, Erik will share his remarkable journeys and the wisdom they revealed, offering participants a glimpse into what many describe as a deep remembrance of our true nature and a return to a place that feels profoundly like home.
-
Death touches every life, yet few of us are taught how to prepare for it with presence and intention; whether for ourselves or our loved ones.
In this workshop, end-of-life doula Elena will guide participants through both the practical and sacred dimensions of the dying process. Drawing from her work as a shamanic death doula, she will demystify death while providing tangible tools to navigate end-of-life experiences with greater ease, confidence, and empowerment.
Blending death literacy with spiritual wisdom, participants will explore advance care planning, legacy work, and ways to advocate for their wishes and those of their loved ones. Elena will also share how ritual, energetic awareness, and conscious preparation can transform our relationship with dying from one of fear and avoidance to one of presence, purpose, and meaning.
Whether you are planning for your own future or seeking to better support someone you love, this workshop is designed to foster peace of mind and help participants approach death as a sacred and navigable threshold rather than an unknown or purely clinical event.
-
Ancient spiritual traditions have long understood that offerings create right relationship between the human, natural, and divine realms. But what if our final offering is the body itself?
In this workshop, end-of-life doula and funeral guide Shaina invites participants to explore green burial as both a practical choice and a profound spiritual act. Drawing from her work facilitating grief support, funerary rituals, and handcrafting natural macramé coffins, Shaina will share how green burial is helping restore a more intimate, meaningful relationship with death and the natural world.
Participants will learn the foundations of Green Burial, explore the deeper significance of returning our bodies to the Earth, and be guided through a contemplative journey to envision their own sacred ceremony of return. Through this process, death becomes not an ending, but an offering, one that can inspire how we choose to live today.

Guided by Chaya and Elena, this immersive ceremony weaves together somatic practice, yoga nidra, shamanic breathwork, sound healing, and journeying to create a sacred space for transformation. More than a healing experience, this is a journey into remembrance. Participants are invited to embody the teachings explored throughout the day and move beyond intellectual understanding into direct experience.
As we journey beyond the veil, participants may encounter ancestors, guides, symbolic imagery, and deeper aspects of the self. Through breath, sound, and surrender, we enter the timeless cycle of loss and rebirth, releasing outdated patterns, fears, and identities while opening to wisdom, insight, love, and sacred support.
Held in community and grounded in the body, this experience offers an opportunity to discover for yourself what lies beyond the veil, not as a concept or belief, but as a felt experience. In remembering who we are beyond our stories, our roles, and even our physical form, we reconnect with the deeper truth that life and death are not opposites, but partners in an ongoing dance of transformation.
Come as you are. Leave more connected to your body, your spirit, and the mystery that lives beyond the veil.

As night falls, we gather around the sacred fire beneath a canopy of stars, accompanied by the flowing stream and sounds of the waterfall. Together with our talented musical facilitators, we enter a space of connection, remembrance, and celebration through medicine songs, communal singing, and shamanic instrumentation.
Adjacent to the song circle, participants will have the option to take part in a traditional Hapé ceremony led by Maharani Medicine. Hapé is a sacred Amazonian plant medicine administered through the breath and traditionally used for grounding, prayer, clarity, and spiritual connection. Often experienced as both centering and expansive, it can help quiet the mind, deepen presence, and open us to the great mystery.
Whether gathered around the fire in song or sitting in prayer with the medicine, this evening offers an opportunity to integrate the day's experiences, connect with community, and remember our place within the greater web of life.

Water and Tobacco are among the oldest medicines, honored by Indigenous traditions for purification, prayer, healing, and remembrance throughout life and at the threshold of death.
As the sun rises over the land, we will gather in sacred community to welcome the new day with prayer, song, and gratitude. Guided by Taino spiritual leader Roman Guaraguaorix, participants will offer prayers to the Waters of Life, connect with the wisdom of Grandfather Tobacco, and take part in a ceremonial blessing rooted in Indigenous tradition.
In the stillness of dawn, we are invited to reflect on the teachings of the weekend and remember a timeless truth: after every night comes a new day, and after every death comes a rebirth. This ceremony offers an opportunity to honor endings, welcome new beginnings, and greet the morning with an open heart.

Awaken the body, quiet the mind, and greet the day with intention through a nourishing sunrise practice led by Elena.
Drawing upon more than a decade of experience in yoga and healing work, Elena will guide participants through a gentle yet grounding movement practice designed to reconnect body and spirit. As the morning light emerges, we will soften into presence and create space to receive the gifts of a new day.
Supported by healing vibrations and intentional stillness, this offering serves as an invitation to listen inward, restore balance, and reconnect with the wisdom that arises when we slow down enough to hear it.
Suitable for all levels, this practice offers a gentle transition into the day and an opportunity to embody the truth that each sunrise is its own form of rebirth.
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, or any other items that will help you create a comfortable nest for the sound journey.

After a day of turning toward death, the question becomes: how do we live from that profound awareness?
In this workshop, somatic mentor, ceremonialist, embodiment teacher, and TEDx speaker Beth Clayton shares insights gathered from more than sixteen years of guiding individuals through life's most transformative thresholds. Drawing from depth psychology, somatic practice, mysticism, and nervous system science, Beth explores why change can feel so difficult, even when we know it is time.
Together, participants will gently examine what in their lives is ready to be released, what is waiting to emerge, and what it truly takes to cross the threshold between who they have been and who they are becoming. Through guided reflection and journaling prompts, participants will have an opportunity to integrate the insights, emotions, and experiences of the weekend into meaningful next steps for their lives.
This workshop is an invitation to navigate life's transitions with greater clarity, courage, meaning, and embodiment, so you can make the most of the precious time you have here.
Please bring your journal, as writing and personal reflection will be an important part of this experience.

As our journey together comes to a close, we gather one final time in community to share a light lunch, refreshments, and the reflections that have emerged throughout the weekend.
This is an opportunity to speak your insights aloud, share what moved through you, how you have been transformed, and what "beyond the veil" means to you now. Our facilitators will be present to answer questions, offer guidance, and help participants weave the weekend's teachings into everyday life.
Together, we will honor the connections formed, the stories shared, and the courage it took to explore life's greatest mystery. What began as a gathering of strangers has become a community of fellow travelers, united by a deeper understanding of what it means to live, to love, and to embrace our mortality.
